🌟 If you're reading this, this is for you 🌟

I'm not afraid of being alone. In fact, I love being alone.

I'm afraid of doing all this work on healing, boundaries and self-love, only to compromise it all by settling for less than I deserve.

You didn't go through all of that to live a half-life now.

You didn't rebuild your identity and values, to just dismiss them for someone else.

You didn't fuel that passion inside, only to allow another person to douse it out with their doubts.

As I said, I'm not afraid of being alone. I know what I bring to every table. Sometimes it's cake. Sometimes it's wine. But most of all, it's an experience of a lifetime.

And not everybody gets an invite.

I'm so excited to finally share that I'll be collaborating with the Dorothy Parkes centre to research and produce a brilliant community project, which is funded by Creative Black Country

I lived in Smethwick for 5 years and felt a sense of community there. So much growth was done in my little terraced house and I left there a completely different woman to when I moved into the area.

When Rob Bruce, Chief Exec at Dorothy Parkes, approached me to get involved on a project of great significance, celebrating the centre's upcoming 20th anniversary and telling the stories from the surrounding community, especially as a writer, I knew I had to get involved.

So, from this point forward, consider me as #WriterInResidence at Dorothy Parkes Community Centre and we'll be announcing info on how to get involved in the near future.
